Camille Saint-Saëns' stirringly romantic bravura piece for cello and orchestra or piano was recorded by Paul Tortelier with some interpretive liberties (see YouTube link). Düsseldorf cellist Jaspar Sturtzkopf also taught the piece in this manner. This edition for cello and piano reflects this.
