Frank Zabel (*1968), German composer.
He wrote several pieces for his cellist son, Niklas. "Kleine Ballade" (Little Ballad) was composed in 2000 for cello and piano, and "Im Dunkeln" (In the Dark) for solo cello in 2003. Both pieces have been featured in the "Jugend musiziert" competition. In addition, "3 Tänze" (3 Dances) for violin and cello, "Fast kein Tango" (Almost No Tango) for violin and cello quartet, and "Scherzo furioso" for cello and piano have been published by Hauke ​​Hack Music Publishers.

About the composition

"Almost No Tango" premiered on April 24, 2005, at the Teo Otto Theater in Remscheid by Cordula Merks (violin) and the cello quartet ACELLORANDO. The aforementioned musicians are the dedicators.
