He studied composition with Günther Cellarius (Clara Schumann Music School) and Prof. Manfred Reiter (Cologne University of Music).

About the composition

The B-A-C-H Fugue is classically conceived, honoring Master Bach and searching for beautiful sounds in a comparatively amateurish manner. The 2005 postlude is romantic in style and coincidentally begins with the main motif from Tchaikovsky's Piano Trio. In fact, the author only noticed this fact during rehearsals (Tchaikovsky) with the Trio Musarto in 2006/2007. The sequence of intervals at the beginning of the postlude is a modified version of Bach's "Art of Fugue." Technically, the first cello part requires good security of the left hand across the entire fingerboard. The second and third cello parts are somewhat lower and therefore easier to play. This edition includes parts and score. An audio sample of the postlude is available.
